The Cutest Sign!!!

So, on our way home from Oklahoma today (just east of Joplin, MO.), I see this sign for a quilting shop that just gets me to laughing and I can't stop for several minutes so that I could tell my husband and son what I was laughing at.  I managed to tell them and they cracked up too.  I really wish I could've gotten a picture of the sign.  It says, "Block by Block Quilt Shop.  Scream until your husband stops the car."  Here is the link to their website.

I received my prize!!!

I finally received my prize of fabric in the mail.  OK.  To be honest, I received it several days ago but I'm just now able to post the pictures.  (I'm trying out my new phone that I didn't get until a few days after I got the fabric in the mail.)  It is very lovely fabric.  My husband's favorite is the one with the dictionary entries.  LOL.  He loves definitions and dictionaries.  :-)  Thanks again to Brenis for this wonderful giveaway.  So, without further ado, here are the pretties!!!  Click on pictures for a better look.

I'm so excited I could just spit!!

So I just found out yesterday that I actually WON something.  This is second thing I have ever won in my life (that I can remember anyways) of 37 years.  It is just so exciting for me to win anything but this is something that is REALLY cool.  One of the blogs I recently started following had a drawing to win some beautiful wordy fabric.  I can't tell you how much I LOVE wordy fabrics and how badly I have been wanting to get my hands on some.  So that means I am even more excited than I would've been had it just been any old fabric.  (Not that I wouldn't have been excited by that too.)  I can't send thanks enough to Brenis over at That Thing I Do.... for having this drawing.  Thankyou,thankyou,thankyou!!!!  I already have plans in mind for it and I will post pictures after I receive it.

My current project

Here is an updated picture of my project, although it is no longer current.  I can't seem to keep the posting current with the real work.  LOL.   I have been working on this for over a year now and I'm loving the way it is turning out.

I'm finally joining the world of blogging!

Yes, it is true.  I have finally moved up in the world and have started my own blog.  I'm not real sure of how this will go, but I will give it my best shot.  It will mostly deal with my own creative works, but there is always the possibility of other peoples work (which will be noted) or just random bits of stuff that I like.  Forgive me if I don't update daily, I just don't know that I have that much to say.  Thank you for visiting and I hope to see you more often.
