Time Has a Way of Flying By

I am all set up in my new studio space at the Co-op.  Although I struggle to get in there to work a lot of days (OK, most days), I am making some real progress on personal projects both in and out of the studio (which is exactly what I was hoping to accomplish) as well as getting set up to teach some sewing classes.  EEK!!  I am nervous about teaching.  I have never really done it before except in a one-on-one situation so this will be a very interesting adventure.  The Co-op is called Artopia One Stop ART Co-op and you can check us out on FaceBook.

Also, I have now made two of the four payments to my upcoming class that I will be taking in July, AND, paid for my plane tickets!!  WOOT!!!  That is going to be an amazingly interesting new adventure as well!!  I am so very happy to be doing it, even if it scares the crap out of me.  :-D

Have a blessed day!

Mundane Life

So it just goes to show how true my "About Me" section is.  I really have been stuck in reality.  I sooooo didn't realize that it has been almost 2 full years since my last post!!!  CRAP!  I had not even realized how much time had passed.  But, that being said, I have made some AMAZING progress in some areas of my life that truly and desperately needed it.  And I am so happy I have done the work!!  I still have work to do, but looking back at what I have accomplished completely motivates me to keep on working to improve myself and my life.

I have to say I have been extremely blessed to have had some help along the way from some very lovely friends.  And, from this wonderful book I have found that helped me not only get motivated, but helped to keep me moving.  That isn't saying I didn't have any setbacks, because believe me I did, and still do!  But I don't stay down for long, long, long periods of time like I used to.  Leonie Dawson has been one of the best things to happen to me in the last year!  Check her out here if you are ready to motivate your life.  But only if you are comfortable with hippy-dippy, woo-woo love!!!  Ha!  Even if your aren't, it doesn't hurt to look into her workbooks.

Her planner has helped me to put my goals into perspective and keep me uplifted enough to move towards them.  The 2015 planner looked like this, only without the bow.

She has revised and added to the 2016 planner and we are getting so much more.  This is what the new bundle looks like.  If you would like to order it for yourself, click here.
I really can't describe how excited I am to see what the next year will bring!!  I have been hard at work the last few weeks creating stuff to sell.  Not much at the moment, but it all has to start somewhere right?  Right!!  So off I go to create more and get back on track to making the life I want.

Peace, Love and Blessings!

Holidays and the End of the Year

So it just goes to show that I kind of suck at this whole blogging thing.  Of course it might actually help if I had interwebz access at my home (where I am 90% of the time), but I don't.  I have to go into town to get online and mostly I just try to get the bare basics done and then go back home.  So I sincerely appologize to any and all who keep coming here and wonder, "WTH is wrong with this woman and why won't she post anything new?!"  Well, now you know.  And if you don't wonder, well, you still know.  I have no idea if I can manage to recover my internet connection anytime soon.  It isn't looking hopeful, but I plan on making some changes after the first of the year.  Even if it means closing my page.  Idk yet.  Will just have to wait and see.  In the meantime, I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season.

Happy Holidays,
See you next year.

Birthday and House Warming Party

So we finally got around to having our house warming party.  We decided to have it coincide with my birthday.  It went pretty well considering less than a dozen people showed up of the nearly 40 who were invited.  It was a beautiful day.  The sun was shining.  The temperature was in the upper 60's.  There was children's laughter echoing in the valley!  Can't really complain.  We were very happy to have guests over yet very sad that we didn't get to see the rest of our friends that we haven't seen in a few years.  But maybe we can figure out another time that they can come up.

My next surgery will be happening on the 24th of this month.  I have already made several hats.  Now I need to get the horns done for them before I will be unable to do any crocheting for a couple of months.  And I have to get graduation announcements sent out as well.  I will be very busy this week!  But that is OK.  That's all for now.  See you around!  Go enjoy Spring!!!!

Blessed Be.

Things of Interest to Me

1. Just when I start feeling better from my surgery, I get sick.  But even that is getting better.

2.  We are getting closer to owning our first home.  We have done all we can and now it is up to the appraiser and the bank people.  We hope all goes well.

3.  Sorry my posts are few and far between.  Still have no internet at home. Hopefully that will change after we get into our new house (if we get it).

4.  I just realized today that Thanksgiving is next week.  WOW!  I am not even remotely prepared. That is all for now folks.

Thanks for your support and hope you have a wonderful holiday.
Blessed be.

Not Good News But Not Bad News Either

So I just recently found out that I have two tumors in my neck.  One on each side, just under my jaw.  It is called a Bilateral Carotid Body Tumor.  Basically that means there is one on each side and they are located on the carotid artery where it splits as it comes up mu neck to my brain.  The most common form of treatment is surgery because this type of tumor tends to be very resistant to radiation.  We don't know if it is cancerous (but it is a very slim chance of it) but it really doesn't matter since it needs to come out no matter what.  The unfortunate part is that they are only going to remove one right now since it can be seen and we will keep an eye on the other to see if it gets bigger.

Usually this happens spontaneously in people older than me (60's and 70's) but sometimes it is genetic, which os the case here.  My father also has this and they only removed one and will watch the others progress.  So although it means surgery, which is never much fun, there really isn't anything to worry about.  The doctor that will ne doing the surgery has lots of experience with this so it all should be fine.  I will be glad to have it gone though because it bothers me that it is there and makes me look funny.  Well, funnier.  LOL.

On a happier note, I am keeping myself busy making hats and cozies and various other projects.  I am enjoying myself and making progress.  Now if I could just get to a point to bring in money, and find a house, that would be amazing!

All shall be well and may we all be blessed
