Spring Is Finally Here

YAY!!!!!  I am so excited that spring has finally got here.  Even though the snow was pretty to watch it fall for several days straight and see it on everything, I am thankful to see everything coming back to life and the warmer temps are welcome.  Spring is my favorite time of year.  And it is just in time for my birthday which is this next week.

Life

We are still trying to settle into our new house.  We are very much enjoying our house so far.  I LOVE the fact that I am getting to see so much wildlife in the back yard.  We have seen an owl (don't know what kind though), two coyotes, a fox, a herd of deer (10 total), and three neighborhood cats (I know they aren't wild but it still makes me happy). 

But I am soooooooo hating the fact that we still can't afford to get internet.  *sigh*  It is so depressing.  I want it back!!!  I started this blog with the hopes and plans of actually being able to post fairly often.  It disappoints me deeply that I can't yet.  If anyone is checking out my page on a regular basis, then I apologize profusely that I am rather boring.  BLAST!!!  I want to do better.  I hate not having enough money.

Well, that is enough complaining!  I am actually pretty happy with my life right now.  Things are going pretty well.  I hope all is well for everyone else as well.

New Year and a New Start

Ah.......The new year has started and of course I am behind.  So many things have been happening lately that I can scarcely keep track.  I am feeling so much better from my surgery!  The scar doesn't even look half bad.  :-)  But in a few months I will need to go through it all again for the other side.  But I am fine with that.

The best news to impart, and what has taken up so much of my time lately, is that we have finally bought a house!!!  We managed to FINALLY close on it the 9th of this month.  We were beginning to think it was never going to happen.  And frankly, looking back at the incompetence of several of the agencies involved, it is a miracle we got the house at all!!  That being said, I refuse to ever work with them again.  The only ones who did their job properly were our realtor and bank.  The rest were just fools who don't deserve to continue to be in business!!  But we are now home owners and although I am excited about it, it also scares me.  But I have faith that all will be well.

Now we just need to get settled in and then have a house warming party!  I hope we can figure out something soon.  I so want our friends and family to see our new place.  Plus, now we can see about getting internet again so that I don't have to wait so long to post anything.  Then I feel I need to find some way of immersing myself into creativity.  I am feeling rather low when it comes to being creative and that just won't do if I want to heal my soul, live life fully and start my own business.  We shall see what I can get myself into.  :-D

Things of Interest to Me

1. Just when I start feeling better from my surgery, I get sick.  But even that is getting better. 

2.  We are getting closer to owning our first home.  We have done all we can and now it is up to the appraiser and the bank people.  We hope all goes well. 

3.  Sorry my posts are few and far between.  Still have no internet at home. Hopefully that will change after we get into our new house (if we get it).

4.  I just realized today that Thanksgiving is next week.  WOW!  I am not even remotely prepared. That is all for now folks.

Update

Just wanted to post an update saying that my surgery went well.  I have been pretty swollen and stiff and in a pretty good amount of pain.  And I have been tired a lot!  But I am slowly getting better.  I was hoping to be able to work on making hats while recuperating, but that seems to be a little far fetched still.  Maybe I can pick back up soon.  At least I have lots of interest for them!! 

Sorry it took so long for the update.  I really have been drained just focusing on getting better.  Thanks for any and all prayers and happy thoughts sent my way.  I am eternally grateful.

Operation and Other News

Well, my operation is scheduled for Oct. 1st.  I was fine with the idea but now I feel kind of worried about it.  I really hope things will be fine.  If you would, please send happy wonderful thoughts my way.  I could use all the positive energy I could get.

House hunting is still going slow.  Not sure I even want to keep looking.  Really would like to find something soon.  I would like to move before the weather gets bad. 

And, I was making good progress on hats and coffee cozies, but there have been so many other things coming up, that I am not getting very far at the moment.  I hope that will get better soon too.  I pray that everything gets on track soon.
